So far DC hasn’t announced a new Captain Carrot and His Amazing Zoo Crew as part of the reboot.
I’m sure it’s just an oversight, right?

The only one of the current DC creators that would dare put a punctuation mark near his name is Rob #@^&!?!%* Liefeld. I can’t imagine him taking the job though; as there are no marsupials in the Crew there would be no pouches, and it would be tough drawing the good Captain if you can’t show his distinctive feet.
Plus, current DC editorial would probably mandate a new character that was a gay bee.

Captain Carrot & His Amazing Zoo Crew, Issue #1.
Now that’s what I call comics Volume 12.

Fun Fact: I bought a complete run of Captain Carrot off of ebay about 7 years ago. One of my best ever ebay purchases.

“Fred Pohl recalls that British writer John T. Philliphent once wrote to him that he had discovered that what set science fiction writers apart was that they used the science fiction method—but he died before he could say what the science fiction method was.” — The Worldview of Science Fiction (via sixbucks)

Ah Hahahahahahah!

This hits enough of my nerdy touchstones that it is so far up my alley it built my wheelhouse. Or something.

The Trolley Bus -

Last Dylan/Hitchcock post of the day. Go to his website, scroll down to the trolley bus and hit play. Skip to track 10 and listen to Robyn’s cover of Bowie’s “Song For Bob Dylan”. Then go to track 5 and listen to the cover of Bob’s “Copper Kettle”.

Then go back to track 1 and listen to ‘em all.
